Project Vision and Mission

Education is the only ladder for young girls in rural communities to climb out of poverty. The Arty Makers creates a bright future for over 1000 rural children in its 9 rural schools.

Our Mission

Our Mission

Our mission is to raise an industrious generation of young girls and women in the North. We train and equip girls and young women with entrepreneurship skills through making and selling handmade toys in a bid to combat dependency, poverty and unemployment.
Our Vision

Our Vision

We believe in the power of Education, but more powerful than that, is an Education that leads to economic development, especially in a developing country like Nigeria. Therefore, our vision is to start a makers’ movement that would propel young Hausa girls towards industry and financial security.
Our Founder

Our Founder

Habiba has been in the teaching profession for over ten years, both inside and outside the classroom. In her view, education should be a wholistic, all encompassing and extensive endeavour. She believes it's ultimate goal is to empower, enable and uplift. Thus the mindset behind the establishment of the Arty Makers project, which focuses on teaching and encouraging young girls to be industrious.
